FoodI believe that if children are exposed to healthy foods early in life, that they will be better prepared to explore and investigate the world around them. Healthy eating habits are key in both physical and mental development.
Meals include:
EXAMPLES OF FOODS SERVED Snacks yogurt, fruit salad, apple slices, cucumber slices, celery sticks, crackers and cheese, muffins, banana bread, goldfish, zucchini bread, cheerios, homemade granola bars, bread sticks with hummus Lunches (include vegetables or on the side) homemade mac & cheese, tuna noodle casserole, wraps, beefaroni, french toast (no syrup), scrambled/hardboiled eggs, chili, grilled cheese, homemade hamburgers, fish, sausage & rice casserole, english muffin pizzas, pancakes, etc. EATING HABITS When meals or snacks are served, (with the exception of specific food restrictions such as allergy watches or if a baby is too young to chew something) everyone eats the same thing. Children are encouraged (but never forced) to try new foods and to eat what we are having. |
